一個十分有趣的馬拉松名稱. 繼波士頓馬拉松後, 美國another popular 馬拉松亦於上週日(4th)於美國俄亥俄州(Ohio)的Cincinnati市舉行. 這就是出名的飛豬馬拉松了. 因為有場三級大火在附近發生, 原本的路線要在開賽前臨時更改......

......由26.2里變為26.45里!此乃是popular Boston qualifier,而家大會都唔知點算.有朋友剛剛玩完Boston(3:38), 而家又以4:01玩完飛豬, 真係超人一名. 今年亦創新紀錄,連5k/10k/半馬一共有超過22,000人參加.

不過係報導見到火災victim都很慘

事後見到fire fighter 救完火參賽，仲著住制服咁跑，認真佩服

Have you heard of a slang (俗語) "when pigs fly" or "when pigs have wings"? Pigs are big and heavy, even have wings on them they are still too heavy to fly. It means something (or an event) impossible to happen. This marathon is one of the largest "1st time marathoner" marathon in USA. They even have special divisions for heavy runners (male/female) over 200lbs. So it is kind of a encouragment to these runners. Also in the old days Cincinnati was a pig trade town.

The fireflighter actually didn't involved with that fire. He intended to run the marathon by wearing 75 lbs of gears and uniform. He was doing it as a charity event. At mile 10, he stopped and performed CPR to a heart attack runner.
