We are proud to announce that the Marathon is back again this year and is scheduled for 04.10.15 at Dataran Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur – so save the date!

Every year, the Standard Chartered KL Marathon is taking a step forward to become a true community event and helping the less fortunate through our Run For A Cause (RFAC) programme. If you are interested in raising funds for one of our official charity partners, you can do so by participating in the RFAC individual category. The registration mechanism has been tweaked and for more information on RFAC and how to be a Run For A Cause runner, please click here. RFAC registrations will be open earlier so follow us on Facebook and Twitter for the announcement.
  
Normal registrations for all categories will commence on 18 May 2015, after noon, so stay tuned for latest updates through our website and on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

他說，他有看所有跑友的回應，不懂有看多少，我今日乘夜班，中午在家就花了兩個多小時，讀了一千多人的回應。

部長道歉了，應該是不會再亂改期了。

事情可能或有轉機，青體部長凱里目前在其個人推特表示，目前正與主辦當局協商。

而主辦當局也在官網說明，他們正在協商，參賽者請保持耐心等待。

PUTRAJAYA, 13 JULY- The inaugural National Sports Day which will fall on the 10th of October 2015 will see the Standard Chartered KL Marathon 2015 as the flagship event in its activity line-up.
The Marathon, which saw all 35,000 spots snapped up within 4 days, will lend a big boost to the targeted 3 million participants for the inaugural National Sports Day. This means that the iconic race will move from its announced date of Sunday, October 4 to Saturday, October 10, 2015.

Responding to the huge public outcry, Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar has apologised for changing the of the date of the Standard Chartered KL Marathon.
With that, he has announced that the date has been reverted to the original date of Oct 4.
“I have personally been reading a lot of your comments about the marathon and have held many discussions with the organisers and other stakeholders.
“We have jointly come to the conclusion that the Standard Chartered KL Marathon will be reverted back to Oct 4, considering the many issues that have been raised,” Khairy said in a statement posted on his Facebook account today.
