Time  8:30 pm HK time

3.8 km swim, 180 km ride and 42.2 km run -- 18 hours of live coverage.  It is the most scenic Ironman course in North America....Enjoy !!

I won't be watching it on the monitor.  I will be one of spectators cheering and screaming along the bike and run course.

I shot this video clip at the final moment, the count down and the runner that didn't make the 17 hours cut off time, he came in 17:01:5X......too bad !

Hi key ~

It was very cold at the swim start, only  6C, can you imagine how cold the lake water was?  There were quite a few people suffered from hypothermia and had to be pulled out from the water.   Running and biking in 曠野 is pretty tough because you will encounter strong wind or even head wind.  I did the St. George Marathon last October and the wind was just howling most of the time.  They said this ironman course is the toughest of all but has the most beautiful sceneries.

Oh, that's why everyone was wearing wet suit during swim course. I used to swim around 8c or 9c in winter in HK and found it was freezing cold
