2008.10.11 - 2008 AVOHK 5KM Series (第三回合)

This series formely known as the Ladies and Vets series is now open to all runners over the age fo 16.  Each 5km has been accurately measured .  Races 1 and 2 are hilly race 3 flat.  More details and entry forms later this Summer.

Race 1    6th September 16.00 Wanchai Gap Playground
Start  and finish on middle Gap Road next to Wanchai Gap playground.  Route heads up hill on Middle Gap Road and runs for about 1.5km before turning left on to HK trail towards Blacks Link.  Towards end of trail run up approx. 40 steps and then turn right onto Blacks Link. Run up towards turn around for about 450 metres. Turn and stay on Blacks Link all the way to finish.  Last km  downhill.  start finish map

Race 2     20th September 16.00 Tai Tam Tuk, Island South
Start and finish on Tai Tam Reservoir Road about 600 metres from barrier.  Out and back course with small loop at turn by Tai Tam Upper Reservoir.


Race 3     11th October 16.00 Bowen Road
Start and finish on Bowen Road at junction with Bowen Drive.  Run 2.5km eastwards turn and run back .  Turn is about 400 metres before the Stubbs Road end of Bowen Road .

Men's and Women's categories, open 16 to 34 then 5 year age groups from 35 , series prizes best 2 of 3 races. Result of race 3 to decide winners in the event of a tie. AVOHK 5KM  souvenir t shirt to those who run 2 or more races. T shirt awarded at Race 3

這個比賽好玩嗎???

No special reason gar.  Just feel not convenient to go to the 2nd race's starting point.  However the race is well organized and I like it pretty much.

The race was full one or two weeks before the race if I recall correctly.
