Don't buy in Ebay. Garmin will not accept warranty to repair the watch which buy in auction store such as Ebay. you can try to buy in online store other than Ebay which can ship to HK. You can find the shop in Garmin website.

Will Garmin USA support repairing?

As I knew the support that Garmin HK agent offer is sending back the watch to USA Garmin for repairing. They cannot repair the watch in HK.

If USA Garmin can support sending back for repairing, not necessary to buy in HK.

Track Your Swim

The Forerunner 310XT times your swim in the pool or the lake. And while the GPS signal does not track distance while swimming like it does on land, thanks to a recent software update, it now accurately estimates open water swim distance and average speed. Simply enable the Swim mode and press start as you begin your swim. When finished, press the lap button and the 310XT automatically processes a combination of the time and GPS data to compute an estimate of distance covered and average speed while swimming.

foot pod即係計步器，原理相同，不過可以send資料比310XT，當戶內跑步機或入左隧道等情況收唔到衛星訊號同以用來計算距離等。我未用過，唔知Garmin的food pod會唔會進步到可以在有GPS接收時自動調教foot pod的呢？

Oscarynk CHing, 20 hours should include GPS "ON".
(My friend used it in Trailwalker and the battery lasts for ~18 hours with GPS "ON")

Garmin foot pod 幾多錢啊 ?

Garmin foot pod都幾貴架! 而家Sportsworld賣緊$993.64，一般計步器是計左有幾多步，就計到約跑了多少K，但係每步大步d或細步d都映響其準確性。而Garmin foot pod配合埋310XT就真係好好用，平時收到GPS既地方，佢會Calibrate個foot pod 1000米幾多步，同時upload左上網時亦會顯示跑了多少步等資料，當收不到GPS訊號既地方，佢會暫時用住foot pod既資料，例如pace/速度，距離等等，到出左隧道便立即自動轉用番GPS數據，可以即時接番住落，如果無foot pod既，響隧道就無晒速度等等資料，到出隧道後可能好耐都未搵番GPS，好耐都無pace或速度顯示。 我發覺foot pod對310XT好有用。
310XT 是有Ant+的，去健身室例如輸式堡，只要set番個錶，自動接收來自跑步機等等機既資料(只要該機有Ant+既功能，所有運動資料會存在錶內的，唔洗用foot pod既資料。

原來真係會自動calibrate，咁又幾貼心，攪到我心郁郁想買添。不過我目前跑的路都光明正大，用唔著佢，一於等下先。

小弟用左410兩個幾禮拜，亦有買埋心跳帶。睇番garmin connect嘅地圖之後，佢個gps的確比iphone同n1都準。我只系有少少嫌佢每之開training mode時都要search衛星search好耐，而家戶外天氣凍真系有d頂唔順...
嚟緊有少少想買埋個footpod，不過九百幾蚊真系太貴左d...
我應為如果只系for跑步的話410或210都ok，唔使咁大隻。

Yes. I guess the manufacturing cost shall be very low (even <USD10 )

But the actual value is not solely dependent on the cost itself, especially it seems to be the only way to record the distance in subway / tunnel (if u care how long u run on the area where u can't use GPS)
