Marathon Introduction: Taroko Marathon

Author's Background:
Since December, 2009, I have started to participate in running competitions in Hong Kong. In the past year, I have attended 10km, half marathon and other races. Finally, I ran my first full-marathon on 20 February, 2011 which was the Hong Kong Standard Charter Marathon. Before the marathon, I have been training for over six months. Though I withdrew from the race after 37 kilometers, it was a very unforgettable experience. After the SCM marathon, I will continue to train for futuremarathons. I am planning to run marathons in other cities or countries. In December 2011, I will attend the Macau Galaxy Entertainment International Marathon.

Recently, I have been researching about marathons in other countries. I can share all the pictures, videos and information I found in this post. I hope you will find this useful and informative.

Distance:

Marathon 42.195km

Half Marathon 21.0975km

Fun Run 5km

Entry Fee:

Marathon TWD800

Half Marathon TWD600

2nd-3rd November 2010, 9:00am-5:00pm

Personally speaking, I have never taken part in this marathon. In my opinion, I doubt we would run on the narrow-bridge. I have looked through many pictures taken by marathon runners online, but I have never seen anyone running on that narrow bridge.
