2008 美國猶他州 (Utah) St. George Marathon 10/04/08

一個離賭城東北約120 miles (200km) 嘅埠仔. 一個位於高原沙漠海拔5, 240尺嘅埠仔. 此乃是Utah猶他州的 St. George 市. 每年十月初便會有大約7,000名來自北美唔同角落的全馬跑手雲集此處, 參加一年一度嘅 St. George Marathon.  因為猶他州是摩門教嘅總部 (鹽湖城) , 所以賽事是在星期六舉行.  此亦是一個downhill 快course. 很多跑手想 qualify Boston 都會選這全馬嚟 qualify.  Most marathoners know “ if you want to PR or BQ, come run St. George!!”.  但因為有quota, 好彩便被抽中, 小弟今年都算幸運了.  呢個全馬規例多多, 所有跑手都不能carry MP3 player 和手機.  但沿途沙漠風景一流, 簡直係breathtaking!  

St. George Marathon 將會是小弟第八個嘅全馬.因為signed up咗 3個 marathons in 70 days, 所以唔會去盡的, 以免舊患服發!

Nah, it wont' bother me at all, Las Vegas isn't at sea level anyway.  BTW, our baseball team ~ the Las Vegas 51s is not associated with the LA Dodgers anymore.  It is now the farm team of the Toronto Blue Jays.

That's great! Wish you a fun and good marthanon in Utah.

And thanks for letting me know the latest status of Vegas 51. I am now following the playoffs so have no idea on the minor leagues changes.

Thanks!  I will take some pictures and write a report when I get back.  I am still working on my Disneyland 1/2.

Just got back from Mormon land!  打咗五個鐘頭水戰, 好在冇落雪!!  起步時橫風橫雨, 風速成 25 mph (40 kph). 又凍, 得果幾度左右.  但一於訂下決心, 在冇mp3嘅condition下, 跑了個 5:11 回來, 好在冇起blister.  有朋友亦BQ咗~3:33!!  遲d再post report and photos.  現在去見周公先! 請請!

Thanks everybody!  My quads and hamstrings are still pretty sore due to those uphills and dowhills running on Saturday.  I have to walk downstairs and upstairs sideway.  The photos and the report will be up shortly, I am doing final editing now. BTW, I lost 3 of my toenails.
