I am still deciding what I want to do with it.  No, I am actually planning to return it and get my money back.  Yes, it can be returned for a full refund at any time if buying things from REI.  I am not in a hurry to get the 310XT yet, it just came out.  I am pretty sure there are bugs in it.  Remember the 405, it was full of bugs when it first came out last year.  I will wait for awhile for Garmin to fix all the bugs and then hopefully the price will come down a little later.  At the mean time, I will use my old 305.  I have the 101, 201, 305 and the etrex Vista C, this 405 is the worst of all......sigh.

Wow Ivrunner, how do you decide when to use which watch?

I bought at REI before also. They have really good quality clothing. I know they have mail order via internet, but can we return and get a refund if buy through the net?

Hi Left3 ~

Are you a REI member?  Yes, you can return it at anytime online.  Even a pair of used hiking boots, you can still return it if you don't like it.  We have REI "garage sale" a few times a year at all the stores.  They put all these "used" returned items on sale for a very very cheap price.  

As for all my Garmins, my original 101 was used for hiking and backpacking purposes, it uses AA batteries, useful when hiking and backing, don't have to worry running out of juice.  I said it wrong, I don't have the 201, I bought the 102 for running purpose instead, then I upgraded to the 305 and now the 405.  My etrex is for hiking purpose too.  I actually have another Garmin, the Nuvi 265wt which I use it as a car GPS when driving.

wow, you have all of them!

I had 201 and 205, and also a polar and I thought I was a little crazy but lvrunner ching, you set the bar even higher.

I am going to wait another year or two before upgrading.  I am still very happy with my 205.  It works very well for me.  I don't use the HRM because I am too lazy to determine my max heart rate.

舊年二月我隻Forerunner 305 壞咗都係攞返去Asia link，由佢哋寄返去台灣整，全程都係Asia link 跟。

只不過一整就整咗個半月，之後索性換過隻比我算數。

我唸有代理會好啲嘅。

佢答既野exactly 係我上面寫既野, 無乜禮貌. 所以我嚮ebay bid左, usd 360 連運費, 有hrm version. paypal過數港幣28xx. 唔算貴, 但無保養...聽講garmin好易壞及多小毛病, 唔理, 用左先算.入手感覺一般, d制唔好禁, 重, 反應有d慢, 準唔準就唔知...雖然感冒, 但都要出去試跑幾k, 新屎坑身痕無計.

我通常一分鐘就search到,d function 用慣就幾好用,你可上garmin網,有網上教學
我用405cx游海 個gps route 就失準,唔知310 xt有無改善

gps一定要放係泳帽內, 後腦上面位置, 盡量保持係水面先會準.
