I thought everyone would like to take a look at some photos from the New York Flyers (a local running club in New York City) website. You can reminisce or get some inspiration for next year! The first few were taken by a spectator. The second group taken DURING the race are by Brian Hsia, who ran a--- get this---3:00:09! Can you imagine taking pictures and running a 3 hour marathon!! Unbelievable!!
Also, every year, photographer Jim Rhoades takes a jillion pictures at Boston and posts them on his website. He'll almost certainly will do it again next year as well. They are in chronological orders. Here is his website.
Not really, I will qualify when I am 85!
My short term goal is to join the Marathon Maniac Club at the end of this year. My long term goal is to run 100 marathons and do all 50 states. How about you?
I don't really have set goal for running. I am a part time running full time hiker. I am just taking a long break right now to do running/biking/tri (don't know how to swim yet!)
Having said that I want to do the Rock N Roll series some day because I want to get that big star!!! I definitely want to do Tokyo Marathon and Hong Kong Marathon. No 50 marathons in 50 states for me. Marathon Maniac sounds interesting but I am not planning to do it now. I ran the Mt Wilson Trail Race this year and I plan to do that every year now. I also want to do the Mt Disappointment 50K
I am planning to do a century bike ride and train for a tri... after that I will go back to Hiking.
Well I will get my triple crown in a few weeks... I guess that's my goal for Aug
So you also need to do Phoenix and Nashville for your full triple crown! You are sooooooooo lucky with all the mountains around you. I only got to go up to Griffin Park or walked up to Elysian Park (behind Chinatown) when I am in town. There is nothing around Las Vegas except Mt. Charleston and Red Rock canyon.
