Cease running since 26-9-2008 until now.  I,ve found painful inside and around the ankle(lower foot joint)  after running for some 1.5 to 2 hours recently.  Just like the above mentioned.  Fear that I cannot finish my first FM on 8-2-2009.  Walking and running is OK, but after running, I will have painful along the rest of the day.   Just want to start running again but fear it will adversely affect the condition of the foot.

Not yet, as I have never think of consulting a doctor.  Times, I would have painful  in the joints after running, thus I think it will be OK after one or two weeks.  But this time seems unusual which causes painful the wholeday after running.  I will arrange to visit the dictor as soon as possible.

I usually practise Yoga at Wednesday night,  but supended for two times dued to the Typhoon and Public Holiday.  Yesterday I priactise Yoga agian and the ankle become better.  So I try to run again this morning at a slower pace for 50 minutes and it seems OK which I have not felt painful like the previous times.  May be Yoga just like physio-therapy which can cure the pain.

Thanks for the advise and will arrange to consult the doctor next week.  I have ran since 1990 in Bowen Road, but usualiy 3-4 KM--just to past the time during lunch.  I made up my mind to participate the 2007 10K and finished at 57 min.  THen I ran two HM, one was unicef charity run last year and the other was ST Marathon 2008, finished at 2'12 and 2'05.  I used to ran two 6K in Bowen Road during Lunch time and One 2 hours in TKO in Sat of Sun.  I just added one more 6-8K in Bowen Raod during Lunch.  Don't know whether it is too much to me.  But it will be clear if I take an X-ray film after consultation with the Doctor.

Just would like to clarify that I used to ran two 6K in two separate day in Bowen Road during lunch time and one 2 hours in Tseung Kwan O in Sat or Sun morning.  It may be about 30K in a week.   Currently, I added one more 6K in a week and altogether it shoule be about 36-7k in a week.

The affected areas may be just as what you said it seems not the bond.  As it's affecting areas will goes from this to that just surrounding the ankle, sometimes at the back, sometimes in the front, sometimes left and then right.  Don't know, but will follow what the doctor's instruction.

I just keeping and have not thought about the posture, any suggestion regarding the posture, hands and foot in order to perform better in running.  Or any link
