衣兩日去了三大名店...運x國...1xK...九龍成 Cx....Skysenor Japan v-A 已經無我size，舊版亦唔會再出....唉！！  

Both Skysenor Japan v-A & Tarthar Japan v-A are the top Ascis models for racing / training in 2008.  They are also very popular in Japan locally.  I had asked my colleague to check with one of the leading running shoes shops in Osaka in Sep 2009, they had to locate it from the other branches for quite some time.  Therefore, I have no doubt why it is not available in HK anymore.  It is also true that Asics is not going to produce these models anymore according to the shop in Japan.

Personally, I really love Tarthar Japan v-A for racing as it is very supportive and protective.  It gives me a great confidence on its performance and I never had any pain after several races since 2008.

According to the comments from my friends & myself, Skysenor is a bit softer than Tarthar and it would be more comfortable for training.  However, Tarthar is more responsive and better for racing, especially if you are going for full marathon.  

Comparing Tarthar / Skysenor Japan & Tarthar / Skysenor Japan v-A, the latter one is even more supportive as you can find an extra cushioning gel.

When did your friend buy it as it is really reasonable price for a new model?  Can you share the name of the shop in Japan and which city as I am planning to visit Japan in Mar or Apr?

If the plan is confirmed, it should be fine with me as I always prepare a huge hand carry bag which can carry five pairs of Asics shoes at the same time.  However, I would suggest you to try it in any shop in HK first as each model may have a slightly different sizes.

To be honest, it is very tempting whenever travelling to Japan.  There are a lot of good selection of Asics running shoes in those leading sports shops.

I did remind myself not to buy anymore during a trip to Osaka & Tokyo two years ago but ........  In the year of 2008, I bought 8 pairs of Asics shoes in Japan and they can last until now.  My wife blamed me on the crazy shopping which I didn't care because all ladies in HK are crazy shoppers in handbags, shoes and cosmetic products.

Last year, my colleague helped me to buy 3 more pairs but I put them all in the office because I am afraid my wife will discover it sooner or later.

Anyway, I enjoyed very much on my Asics selection.

咁公平d咁講，唔係asics先係好鞋，我尋晚又買左對adidas adios…紅色…

呢對野我自己評價好高，我自己走tempo pace的話唔會話差得過skysensor幾多…

Dear Miller C-Hing,

No offence on the other brands.  I do believe Addidas is producing several professional models and some of our leading racers in HK are supporting it.

However, Asics is possibly a brand that can offer more selections to different level of runners at different ages, sex and needs.  At least, most of my friends have at least one pair of it no matter whether they are serious runners or not.

Not too bad.  The answer is:

紅圈 Tarther Japan (Correct but to be specific, the upper one is Tarther Japan Slim, the middle one is Tarther Japan and the Lower one is Tarther Japan v-A (my most favourite model for racing)
黃圈 Gel feather (Correct)
藍圈 Skysenor Japan (Correct)
綠圈 Skysenor (Incorrect, it should be named as Generacer LS2)
橙圈 Magic ([email=Sortiemagic@N1-TK]Sortiemagic@N1-TK[/email] TMM405)

I mean only Tarther & Skysenor Japan v-A are not going to be produced but there is no change on Tarther & Skysenor Japan.  You can see the new model on page one from this subject.

what the different of Tarther Japan and Tarther Japan v-A?

The difference is an additional cushioning gel in Tarther Japan v-A which is more supporting.  You can see my photo which is exactly the one.  There are two colours, white or red and they are still available in some local shops, e.g. 1xK or CK but I am not sure whether you can find your size or not.

I did see it when they promoted it in Sep or Oct last year but it disappeared recently.  I believe that there are more & more new models which they are unable to show them all.
