Hey everyone! This is Mariah from RK Support here to give our official response to the BTLE feature request. We have been reading all of your comments over the past couple months and have been advocating to the product team on your behalf. After several weeks of research, building, and testing, we are happy to announce (queue the confetti) that support for Bluetooth Low Energy heart rate monitors will be built into our next RunKeeper update for Android, version 4.6, slated for release in the middle of June.
We would like to thank everyone who has taken the time out to vote on this feature and for all your comments! A lot goes on behind the scene’s here at RunKeeper HQ, but we want you to know that we do read and listen to all of your feedback. We always appreciate hearing how we can improve RunKeeper and make it work better to help you achieve your fitness goals! Keep an eye out middle June for an update!
