saki "c-tse", as answered, I am a medical lab technician but currently not working as a lab tech in CHP. But the knowledge is pretty useful to my current job.
Actually one c-hing has given a pretty good guess on the branch i am working........pretty close.

Just curious, what is the difference(s) between a medical lab tech and a clinical lab tech.  We have a lot of clinical lab techs in our hospital.  They do hematological, immunologic, microscopic and bacteriological tests.

唔好意思咁多位，遲左先覆。
Blurmax兄"估"中左啦！唉，邊個話政府透明度唔高，其實大家只要知道小弟個名，上政府個網就搵到我o架啦！
其實我係向衛生防護中心做o的同傳染病監察的工作，簡單d黎講即係係唔同地方收料、計下數、睇下有無傳染病曝發(所以如果真係有d野唔妥時就要OT喇)，同埋做d控制工作。我個team人仲會睇埋有關疫苗相關的工作。
多謝晒大家估左幾日，等我遲d又估下kopo師兄做邊行先

David c-hing, it sounds to me just a difference in title, coz the medical lab techs in HK are doing exactly the same thing the clinical lab techs would do in the States. As far as I can recall the title in HK also applies to that in UK so I assume there's a little bit of history in them. Medical lab tech in HK usually stays in one of the specialty you've mentioned as the knowledge involved is quite different.
