The only conservative way to cure pf is to stop running for awhile. Mine has developed into a little bone spur last year....so I am beyond hope!
It usually doesn't bother me until I hit around 18 or 19 miles, I just stop and stretch it out a little. Then take a couple of pain pills after the marathon and it's all good again. My PT told me that over 80% of the population has developed bone spur especially in professions like nurses, postman, policemen, sales.....etc. Not all bone spurs cause pain, that is why many people don't know they have it until seen in xray.
I am such kind of person that require long time standing, but my tendon archile is very tight (for long time), so I am very interested in such kind if sockes that can help me progressively stretch my leg! Today is my 4th time on Shockwave, hope the symptom can be subsided very soon.
