Registration for the coming Boston marathon (http://www.baa.org/) has been started.

Any Ching will join the race?

By the way, can the race result of SC Hong Kong Marathon be used as qualify time?

September 14, 2011 - 10:00 a.m. (ET) 10 min., 00 sec. or faster than their qualifying time (based on age/gender)
September 16, 2011 - 10:00 a.m. (ET) 5 min., 00 sec. or faster than  their qualifying time (based on age/gender)

I've reserved a room in Buckminster Hotel (http://www.bostonhotelbuckminster.com/). The hotel is near to subway and finishing area. The room rate is definitely not cheap but at least acceptable.

By the way, I've read some posts in the forum of Runner's World and some gurus opined that any hotel that is near to subway should be fine, as you can take subway to Boston Common for official shuttle bus to starting area.

So there should be a lot of cheaper options.

2012年第116届波士顿马拉松赛今日（4月16日）开赛。与以往不同的是今天波士顿气温高达86华氏（30摄氏度），比同期温度高了近30华氏（18摄氏度）。在如此危险的高温下进行马拉松跑步，缺乏经验的选手和最近没有在高温下训练的选手，都被劝告不要参赛。组委会对退出的选手授予下一年参赛的权利。

Really a tough game.  

We ran in the sun for over 95% of time and it was just too hot (I believe that 30C was in the shade only) to run. According to local news, it was the 4th highest temperature in the history of Boston Marathon, and the winning time of mens champion was the 2nd slowest time in history. Absolutely not a good day for running.

Because of such abnormal temperature, the offical even provided deferment arrangement for entrants who decided not to race this year.

Although the weather was bad, the atmosphere was amazing and thousands of spectators came out to cheer and support the runners. Many of us can finish the race just because of their life-saving support - water, ice, orange, brownie, candy......Thanks to them.
