You can go to Tokyo but you have to pay. Tell 大大&債主to go to shopping, very good excuse

Hi lvrunner,
Bear in mind that Toyko Metro & JR (Japan Railway) are 2 difference systems. Your one day pass of Metro may not be valid for JR. FYI, one way ticket of Metro & JR normally less than 200yen downtown (i.e. Shinjuku to Ueno, 190yen, 25minutes).

Alex hing ~  Thanks.  I am actually getting the Pasmo or Suica pass for all the Metro, Toei and JR (some).  

Yes, Suica pass is common for all of these. Last time I used a lot of coins, Suica pass is right choice.

They say both Pasmo and Suica are interchangeable.  I hate carrying coins.

No way to avoid coins in Toyko. You should carrying coins for drink and or auto-selling machine.
