(明報) 美國參議院以74票贊成及25票反對的大多數票，通過逾7千億美元的救市方案。美國國會參議院在本港時間今早9時多，投票通過修改後的救市方案，其中74人投贊成票，25人反對。有關方案獲得通過後，預計在美國時間本周五再次在眾議院表決，由於眾議院在周一曾否決方案，暫時未能確定方案能否順利通過。為了爭取議員的支持，政府的新方案包括提高銀行存款保障

額，以及把減稅措施延長2年，存款保障額由10萬美元增至25萬美元.......... Still hope!!

WALL STREET IS CRASHING DOWN!!!

Dow keeps dropping at this moment. It has dropped over 496 points so far this morning!!!  It is at 9,828 points now (less than 10,000) !!!!!!  

Asian markets will be in big trouble tomorrow!!!  

George Bush will have another press conference later!!!!

I don't buy stocks like you guys.  Most Americans buy retirement saving funds (tax free) in turns of mutual funds which is called 401K.

In state you have 401K, in HK we have MPF.

In Canada, we also have RRSP (Registered Retirement Saving Plan).  I contributed more in RRSP than 401K because I am not American.

The U.S. government said 533,000 jobs in the country were lost in November alone, and more than 1.9 million jobs have been lost in 2008.
