I am still waiting for the Garmin 405 gets cheaper after summer.  I strongly recommend those Garmin GPS watches if doing a lot of interval training.

nc 姐,

5 days a week of running.  因住小心引起膝或脚患和burnout呀! I assume you're a beginner, right?  If I were you, for now I would rather run 3x a week and two days of cross training like cycling, swimming.......etc. instead.

You only need 16 to 24 oz. of fluid every hour you run.  Too much fluid will cause water intoxication.

Sorry, nc tse,  do you mean electrolyte (电解質) supplements like Powerade, Gatorade.......etc?  If so, no, it doesn't cause any harm if you are not drinking much at once.

史坦利兄 is right!  請恕小弟直言. I really think you've overtrained yourself this time.  I have seen so many non-experienced runners like you throughout the years - just too 心急!  You know what is next - Burnout!!  到時不是有心無力而是無心亦無力呀!  Give those tiring muscles a rest first.  Take care!

No no and no!!  Should be at least 2.5 to 3 hours before exercise.  Unless you want to get 盲腸炎!!!!  That is why best time to run is first thing in the morning when you get up!!

For 15K, most runners carbo load the night before.  For only 10k, a lot of runners don't have to eat first.  I ONLY run in the mornings.  If over 10 miles (17K), I will eat the night before.  I can't run with food in my stomach, I will barf in 10 minutes.

I hate Sharkies, it really makes your mouth dry and thirsty. Yuck!  Try Sport Beans, it tastes way better. Can you buy it in HK?  I take it sometimes but not for running purpose.

Say do you know what did marathoners eat before all these bar and gel thingy were invented?  Fig bars or Fig Newtons!!  I still eat them once awhile.  Power Bar was only invented in the 80s.

I love eating fresh figs, they are so sweet and juicy.  We have a couple of fig trees in our backyard.  These purple colour fruits are very rich in fibres, magnesium, potassium, calcium and vitamin K.  Isn't it these are the same ingrediants in those energy bars.  I remember when I was small in HK, my mom used to make us fig soup with lean pork in it.

點解咁怪 ge? 對DS Trainer 13賣咁貴?  呢邊賣$74.99 USD ($585 HKD) online plus free shipping.  Men size 仲係綠色tim, 襯番綠色網衣. 可惜係 minimal stability shoes (more like neutral shoes), 唔arm小弟著!

DS Trainer is classified as stability shoes but the bottom sole isn't as rigid and firm as other Asics stability shoes (eg: 2130 or Kayano).
