Is the pain around your ankle or heel?  Did you strain/sprain it?  How long it has been like that?

I have been doing this for n years now.  It is like there is a time clock inside me.  I start work at 7am anyway.  But even off duty, I still wake up this early.  In the summer time, I wake up at 3:30am.

Not only rice, but protein, whole wheats and grains too.  Don't be surprised that you gain a few pounds out of the training period.  Good luck on your training!

35 to 40 miles (no intervals) per week is good enough then.  If 50 miles (including intervals), you should be able to do a sub 4 marathon.  Are you following a training plan?

Agree, concentrate more on LSD, tempo, fartlek and hill workouts.  Speed intervals don't help much if aiming for sub 5.

Congrats on another PR again!

I would never be able to type race report like you in Chinese <lol>.  Anyway, I think you should reward youself now by getting a Garmin 405 or at least a 305 like mine.

Monday (1/12) is Cyber Monday in USA after Black Friday (28/11).   All the online stores go on sale.  May be you can find a good deal.
