You mean if I don't have any weight to loose, I can't run faster?

Of course you can but just take more effort and training to do it. I know someone that lost 25lbs and ran a marathon 20 minutes faster than his previous one.
I agree with that. Just breathing through the nose can cause hyperventilation which ends up retaining more carbon dioxide inside your body, not good at all. When running, your heart rates go up and thus sending a signal to your brain which in turns sending a signal back to you calling you for more air to satify the body's need for oxygen. You can get a lot more air breathing through the mouth. The opening in the back of your throat is almost ten times larger than those two little tiny holes in your nose. I would breathe through my ears too if it worked . Afterall, more oxygen means less oxygen debt and less lactic acid built up which means stronger and well oxygenated muscles during a run.
