Usually, you shave off one minute during running especially in marathons of every pound you get rid of.  It worked for me.

For example, if you get rid of 5 lbs, you should be able to run 5 minutes faster in the marathon.

Hi Alfred兄,

Of course you can but just take more effort and training to do it.  I know someone that lost 25lbs and ran a marathon 20 minutes faster than his previous one.

I agree with that.  Just breathing through the nose can cause hyperventilation which ends up retaining more carbon dioxide inside your body, not good at all.  When running, your heart rates go up and thus sending a signal to your brain which in turns sending a signal back to you calling you for more air to satify the body's need for oxygen.  You can get a lot more air breathing through the mouth.  The opening in the back of your throat is almost ten times larger than those two little tiny holes in your nose.  I would breathe through my ears too if it worked .  Afterall, more oxygen means less oxygen debt and less lactic acid built up which means stronger and well oxygenated muscles during a run.

Stanley兄 ~ 跑步呢味野唔可以同人比的! 有D初入行跑手. 跑一兩次全馬便可BQ(Boston Qualify), 有D跑足一世都BQ唔倒. 又睇一吓 Paula Radcliffe,十月懷胎重去跑全馬, 閣下估吓有邊位師姐做得到或敢做呢! 樓上D師兄are right, 我地跑步是興趣, 最緊要係enjoy, 如果唔係就好易burnout. 今次唔得咪等下次囉, no big deal 呀!

哇哇哇! 好驚嚇呀!!      唔理得他是Ching Dynasty 那位大官或貴人, 但肯定佢以雲遊天國過百年了, 亦即時聯想起彊屍!  請問閣下可否轉換avatar呢!
