我覺得泳總真係賤到爆，其他渡海泳記綠唔計，
要屈你俾多100水試費。
我就唔會報。

7月啱啱玩完Ocean Swim (Bay2Bay)2KM 由淺水灣游到深水灣，我諗佢地都唔計！
其實我覺得佢地如果flexible啲我都會參加嘅，多啲人玩開心啲。
睇嚟只得第38屆吐露港渡海泳公開賽可以考慮玩！

我估，係我估。如果你寫你游過其他渡海泳，而個比賽又無乜人參加，咁佢一定會叫你去水試，收你100先，過到再比你玩，然後再收你100。

但係如果你游過其他渡海泳而跟係泳總註冊的泳會報名，"我估"水試都可能唔駛。

一班人（20﹣30以上）游就無所謂。。。。。。。
幾個人游就會危險，事關離開防鯊網。。。。
深水灣近深灣那方向有條魔鬼魚，有半個身長！
事緣我同長跑網卓卓某下午約魚時見到魔鬼魚跳上海面又跳番落海。。。。
大大話話見到佢不停來回游5至理次以上。。。。

Questions to ask :

(1) Anyone knows how to apply ? by fax or mail ?

(2) If more than 200 men joining, is it first-come-first-serve? or 抽籤決定?

(3) What happen if I pass the 1500m test but there is more than 200 people apply, can I get the $100 refund ?

So worry but failed to call 泳總, they seem hang up the phone all the time to avoid people calling in for enquiry

Swimmers without proven records of the aforementioned events must enter the
*1500m Time Trial organized by HKASA. Those with the best 100 results will be
accepted. Swimmers must pay a Time-Trial fee of $100.

That is to say, you must be in the first 100 place of the 1500m swimming test,
otherwise, you have no chance to take part in this event.

呢個Event, 只睇到泳總自私同向錢看一面 大埔個渡海泳都游2.4K啦, 點解唔Count人地個D先, 只係比自己人玩...水試都收一百大元 大佬呀, 你係LCSD租條線要幾錢呀 洗唔洗咁呀...佢收到1000人去水試個收入都唔錯......我就唔玩LU...

雖然arc錢 但都想玩下 但個水試要去東沖

Only top 100 can go for male !  If you can do less than 25 mins for 1.5k (30 laps), you may got chance.

I am not HKASA or their afflilated club member.
I joined the Repulse Bay 3.5K swim last year in individual capacity

Ic.i never join their race.
So i want to question why they did not request u to do the test before a 3.5k swim.
while  this race is only 1.8k ,they charge ppl 100 to do the test.

But still  got only 100 pace for this cat.   If more than 100 people, your pace still not secure.   The pace depending on the result.  By the way, I would like to check how long to finish 3.5K. Can it be done in one and half hour ?

I agree with you that the rules setted by HKASA is not fair.
Cat 1 has the top priority but it is the 1,500m pool event (pool event is not similar to open water).
Cat 2 includes 3.5K, 5K and 10K.  5K and 10K are by invitation but not open for the general public participation.
Cat 3 2K is most similar to the corss harbour swim but  has the least priority.

Though I am exempted from the water test, it does not imply I can straight-in to join the Swim.
HKASA have another set of selection criteria for those who are exempted from the water test.

Due to my old age (50+), I cannot finished the 3.5K swim last year within 1 hr. (i.e. the pre-setted time frame).  I finished the swim in 7x minutes.

我只係覺得除了屈錢外，佢好似係到迫人下年去游佢個D OPEN WATER 比賽。
就用返你的例子，如有一個人係另一個比賽用60 分鐘游完3.5K，但都可能係要比佢地屈錢試水。
佢個比賽講到好似比全香港人玩咁，但係佢SET D 咁嘅RULE，我覺得係掛羊頭賣狗肉多D。
根本就係佢自己攪比自己人玩的比賽。
