Foretrex是否有齊晒Forerunner405所有function?能否容易上載到電腦做跑步紀錄?容易用嗎?是否只是size大過forerunner405?有冇Bug?

Ching用後有冇comment?我想買一個能作每公里GPS計時,有冇其他choice is cheaper?

Foretrex is the 1st generation of Garmin's GPS watch.  Very cheap (less than $100USD) but with no heart rate monitor function and no compass.  It uses serial port instead of USB port.   The beauty of the Foretrex 101 is that you can use 2 AAA batteries (more than 15 hours) instead of charging the unit.  Good for hiking and camping purposes.  Other than that, almost the same functions as others.

405 is expensive but size is small
Foretrex is cheaper but size is big

205 同埋 305 個價相差都頗大... 小妹當然有個比較經濟既方案...

我買了1個多月, 平時練習都用佢, 真正比賽就三日前的美津濃半馬用過, 測距都算準確, 美記半馬測出為21.26km(誤差0.77%), 收貨啦!

我以前用開的Polar RS800sd, 用佢既footpod測距離晒譜!, 上年同樣美津濃半馬, 同一條路測出13.5km左右(比賽前後我都拿過去檢查, 都話話無問題 ) 之後Polar出左過GPS的附件G3, 測距準確左, 但最大缺點是要首先找到GPS訊號, 但都都無用, 重要個表要用成半分鐘左右detect個G3, 重有就係企係度無法detect到個附件, 要一路行, 重要係比較快步, 先至detect到. 練習都話可以有空間同時間俾你慢慢去detect個GPS附件, 到比賽時, 人頭湧湧, 有無可能俾你咁做, 除非你係最後一排啦! 到開左步跑左三四十米一定detect到架, 不過到時你估計出來重會唔會準確呢!

講番forerunner 405, 佢就好好多, 只要企係一個比較空曠的地方, 一開左GPS, 好快就detect到幾個

I used 405 for more than 6 months.  It's perfect for running, repeat 'for running', and no other GPS watch could match.

Of course you can have many alternatives, said using 'hiking GPS', 'GPS logging device' etc.  However, they're not designed for running anyway.

The feeling of wearing 405 is similar to wearing a Casio running watch, virtually no difference.

I use 305.  205 is the same as 305 except it does not have heart rate monitor.  405 is slightly smaller but battery life when using GPS is slightly shorter (8 hrs vs 10 hrs in 305).  Also, 405 can only display 3 data field while 305 can display up to 4 data field.  I don't care much about the bezel thing in 405.  

Since 305 is now "old" model, it is cheaper than 405.  For men, I think the size of 305 is ok.  For women, 405 is more suitable.
