Dear Participant
Thank you for your support in taking part in this race. We hope that you will have an enjoyable day with us on Lantau. Please note that this is a fun event, please only consume as much beer as you are capable of handling. At any stage of the race if you are unwell, please contact one of the race marshals
You will be taking part in the Country Park along the water catchment please do not pollute the water or surrounding area. The beer must be consumed before leaving each station.?
Please report to the registration table at the start point to receive your race number.?
We will have a left bag vehicle that will take your bags to the finish line.?
Getting there:
If you come to Mui Wo from Central, the ferry leave number 6 ferry Pier. The ferry times are 30 mins for the fast ferry and 50 mins on a freight ferry
Fast ferry times are 7:10; 7:40 and 9:10
Freight Ferry time 8:30
Please note it is about a 20 min ride to Tong Fuk on the number 1 bus
Bus times: 8:20; 9:00; 9:45
Or catch a taxi approximately $80 taxi booking number 29841328
If you come via Tung Chung or the MTR, you catch the number 11 Bus of the New Lantao Bus Co
Bus Times; 8:10; 8:30; 8:50; 9:15; 9:40
It takes approximately 30 mins to Tong Fuk and is a 10 min walk from the bus stop to the start of the race
Or alternately catch a taxi, approximately $90
When catching the bus, get off at the first stop going out of Tong Fuk, opposite the Ma Po Ping Prison. You will pass a taxi stand, bus terminal and large parking lot on the left, continue over the bridge and get off at the next stop. Watch for our posters at the bus stop. Look out for the sign posted bus stop.
Please take note that there is no parking at the Ma Po Ping Prison. Please park your car at Tong Fuk and walk up to the start point.?
The race ends at Lower Cheung Sha Beach, you can catch the number 1 back to Mui Wo and the number 11 bus back to Tung Chung.
Please remember to book by 6 March at the Stoep for lunch afterwards. $130 per adult and $50 per child. Beer will be sponsored by San Miguel for the lunch. Tel of the Stoep 29802699
TEAMS
If your team will be running together as most teams are, please all report to the start. If you will be participating as a relay, you are responsible for reporting to the correct stations. There is no public transport along most of the route as it is in the Country Park. Station 2 and 3 can be reached by getting off the bus at the old Tung Chung Road, and walking uphill and along the catchment. station 5 is along |
