I use it every time after long runs.  It really helps to decrease the soreness!!

Yes, any long roller will do the job, but The Stick is better.

Just roll it back and forth on the muscles (especially the quads and calfs) about 50 times after your long runs.

You are right, like deep muscle massage to break up you knots inside your muscle groups.  It really helps!  Do it 2 hours after your long runs,

If you couldn't find them in any of the running stores in Australia, another alternative is to go to a department store's kitchen section and look for one of those rolling pins and it works well too, find one with a smaller circumference.  Or you can order "The Stick" directly online.

Actually, 30x back and forth is good enough.  For the palm of the foot, I also use a tennis ball or baseball.  Because of my plantar fasciitis, I also bought a foot wheel and it helps after long runs.
