Over-training may be an overused term. While it does happen, most of our injuries or our loss of interests are not due to over-training.
In Mike ching's case, it is likely that he doesn't have much time to do anything else after work and running. He is probably not able to spend too much time with his friends and families.
I think it is a matter of priorities in life. We all have limited time. And it is ok not to spend all of it on running. Mike ching should evaluate what his priorities are and do the best to make himself happy.
