I am not "勁", just a slow marathon junkie and addict. You are right, Honolulu is always a blast (Top 10 marathons in the world). I did it last year too with a miserable time due to injury and 落狗屎. Out of the 25,000 marathon runners, 17,000 of them were from Japan. It was almost like runing in Japan.
As for running out of time training for Chicago. Most training plans call for 18 weeks anyways and you still have 13 weeks left. You mentioned your longest run was 22km (13 miles), not bad at all. You need to increase your mileage every week from now on all the way to 20 miles (34km ~ sorry I am not into metric measurements) and of course one LSD every week. I myself have never done LSD over 20 miles, the last 6.2 miles is always a challenge for me during the marathon. If this is going to be your first marathon, I would suggest you concentrate on the endurance and distance instead of time, I think it is just way too many things to concentrate for beginner marathoner.
BTW, why Chicago? You should try Honolulu. I like it and plan to do it every year.
