Hi Louis,

I have been telling everybody to get the Superfeet, either green or blue color.  I wonder if they carry it in HK.  BTW, how's those humid air.....yuck!

kopo兄, 跑完LSD對feet腫脹is normal but shouldn't hurt. If it continuous to hurt after long run, may be stop wearing the Elixir.  I found the shock absorption for the Mizuno isn't quiet as good as the NB and Asics.  If you don't mind spending more $$, try the Asics.

多謝LV兄指教!! 我都想好似rockstarman咁買對Asics既GEL NIMBUS. 不過首先要過我老婆大人呢間並不容易. 但LV兄, 這腫脹的現象會否隨練習次數及距離增加而減少呢? 如果長期都是這樣, 我的全馬計劃便要泡湯了!!!

    You get less dizzy too.  Also try to wear a cap (but it so hot I don't know if you want to wear a cap)

    kopo hing,  my feet swollen up 1/2 a size after I finish a long run (>25km).  See, I normally wear size 10, but for LSD running and marathon I go up 1/2 a size to a 10.5.  I have trouble going up and down the staircase after long runs.  My groin areas are so sore.

    Does it mean I should have a slightly bigger shoes for the LSD training?  Also, is it preferable to have a running shoes with better cushion effect?  By the way, I had a hiking last weekend for 42km in 10.5 hr.  Of course, I was exhausted but more seriously, the inner side of my thighs were scratched seriously with the edge of my running shorts. I really hurt and I found it bleeds a little bit and it  was really painful. I just wonder how can it be improved?  By wearing other types of shorts?

    Normally, I will using bodyglide or vaseline to avoid the friction issue. I will apply vaseline on my feet, inner legs and nipple.

    昨天9AM開始跑(我都想早D不過起唔到身), 一心諗住跑10個圈(750M), 點知跑左5個就已經唔得啦, 成個頭漲哂, 抖唔到氣,   命仔緊要, 唯有放棄.

    Yes, always buy 1/2 a size bigger that what you normally wear.  For me, my feet starts to swell at around 15km.  After long run, you can soak your feet in some ice cold water (with ice to decrease the swelling).  If painful, you can also take a couple of anti-inflamatory pills like Cortal.  The better the cushion effect, the better for your knees when doing long runs.  You don't have to buy other types of shorts to prevent the scratching.  The rubbing of you inner thighs is called chafing.  Like other c hings said, try the Bodyglide, just rub it on your inner thighs, the groin areas and one more place ~ the butt crack .  You will scream if you don't rub some in your butt crack when you take a shower later, it really burns!!  I also use another product called Sportshield.  I don't know if they sell it in HK.  I use it to rub on the side of my small and big toes and also the heels too.  If you know for sure there will be a blister develope, you can also try another product called moleskin (I've talked about that in the injury forum).  On top of all these, you also need two pieces of bandages to put on the nipples to prevent nipple rash.  Your nipples rub against your shirt when you run.  If longer distance and too much friction, you nipples will bleed (see picture below) especially when it is windy.  Some runners simply rub vaseline on the nipples.  I found it doesn't work that well when the sweats mixed with the vaseline and it also leaves a dark spot on your shirt and it is hard to wash it off.

    Thank you very much for your valuable information.  Definitely I will buy the stuff to buy.  You are right that my butt crack and nipples also hurts but it is not as serious as the men shown in your picture.  By the way, can you suggest where I can buy this Bodyglide?? In normal pharmaceutical shop or where else?

    kopo hing, Not sure exactly where you can get it in HK.  I assume running stores.  May be other c hings like Alex hing and Blurmax hing can answer that.
